Out of the Ground

Works finally started on the 2nd August and the walls are up! The delay has simply been because our main contractor has been on holiday and the ground took quite a while to prepare. Anyhow, at last progress has been made and we are still optimistic that we will be watertight by the end of September. Revised Plans

As often happens in our lives, serendipity oozes from every corner. Two good friends of ours have ended up renting another Lodge on site and we got to stay there for a weekend. This sunset on the West caused us to change our mind about which windows go where. Our architect friend Steve came to visit too (and we played the course for the first time - far too many balls lost). Having stayed there, we made the big call to make the lodge a three bedroom as opposed to four bedroom.
